A rosewood rocking chair designed by Arne Vodder and produced by Sibast, Denmark 1960’s. Solid rosewood throughout with lovely grain and colour. This chair typifies the best Danish design from this period in being rooted in traditional forms and construction. The classic stick back armchair on sled rocker base that would be traditionally constructed in a native timber has been re-worked to produce a beautifully simple and elegant design with some nice details in solid rosewood. The drop in seat has been re-upholstered and the chair is in excellent condition.
