Designed in 1953 by Friso Kramer for Ahrend and produced by the manufacturer De Cirkel (Holland) we have two pairs of the Revolt chair. It is a testament to the quality of the design that this chair is still in production today. The first pair were produced in the 1950’s and still have the original paper label. The frames are formed of folded sheet steel and the seats are an innovative original material called Ciranol in a sought after shade of green. The second pair are later (most likely 1970’s) and have slightly textured plastic seats and backs. One is black and the other grey.
