Italian 1930’s Carved Console Table with Mirror Surface

Produced by the Italian furniture manufacturer Permanente Mobili Cantu in the 1930’s/1940’s. This collective group of artisan furniture makers, from Cantu in the Lombardy region, dates back to 1893. A beautiful and elegant demi-lune console table with a single central support. The console table is carved wood with a gesso and ivory painted finish and gilded highlights. The mirror surface is in good condition but has a small chip on the back edge and some fine scratches. The top can be removed from the support for shipping.
