A very decorative chair made of a cast and worked base metal that have been painted and gilded, showing signs of wear and rubbing that reveal the base red-ochre colour. The motif of tassels and twisted cord have been incorporated into the design and construction. The circular seat is an intricate lattice or basket weave design. Sourced from a fashion store in Milan that was fitted out in the 1960’s.
